CoPR received - looking for advice on landing process and next steps in Canada

Be very careful with the license change over too. My hubby is from Arkansas and they printed out his abstract for him because they said they would never mail out a copy. The DMV in Ontario refused to change over his license until he shows them a mailed copy, so now he's been arguing with the DMV...

    February 2014 Outland Applications?

Well that's what I mean! I sent the email (as the sponsor) about our application in Ottawa. I just emailed asking if they received the extra documents we sent in, and they replied that they had. They had my email as the sponsors email, and my hubby didn't put me as his representative.

    February 2014 Outland Applications?

Well, that's not entirely true. My husband didn't fill out that for me, and I was always the one to inquire to Ottawa about our app. I included both our UCI/File number/Birthdates/Addresses and always signed it as Mr and Mrs Zarilenth and they always answered me!

    MARCH 2014 OUTLAND APPLICANTS

Wow, nice! You landed July 28th? My hubby landed on July 30th but no card yet. Also our COPR was not stapled into his passport so I think you can take it out if you want as long as you bring it with you when you cross the boarder. But just leave it somewhere safe!

    APRIL 2014 OUTLAND APPLICANTS

Cheeseburger. I think you'd have to land, but I am not sure. If you do land, you are required to live with your sponsor for 2 years (if you have the condition 51).. but I am not 100% sure. Sorry!

Thanks! It was really easy for him. He flew into Terminal 1, and it took about 5 minutes total (including the wait in line). He landed at 9PM so he sadly just missed the Kiosk where he could get his SIN, but we are going to go to Service Canada and do that later. They asked him: if he was the...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Hey, I changed my husbands address to my address while he was still living in the States, so it does not matter. And no, you cannot call CIC. You need to email Ottawa to request the change. No worries! :)

PPR will always come by email unless you didn't list an email in your application. COPR will always come by mail, because you need the physical document. Don't be scared.

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Ottawa still requests passports sometimes, but they just want a photocopy of the info page to make sure it hasn't changed. That's what he's talking about.

    - Next steps are her background checks and FBI clearance checks, which they will do internally without contacting you. - Ottawa does not send an AOR, but if they want any additional documents or you haven't paid your RPRF (right of Permanent Residency fee), your wife will get an email requesting...
