Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Does anyone know if the PR card needs to be signed for on delivery, or do they just leave it in your mail box? I am leaving the country for a month tomorrow and based on others timelines my card will probably turn up at next week. I'm thinking of getting my house mate to post it to me to save...

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

You should be fine - read this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=064&t=10 You will need to apply for a travel document from one of the three embassies in India, by the looks of it they are in New Delhi, Chandigarh, and Bangalore. I'm not sure if you need to physically...

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

I highly doubt you will have your card in the next couple of days, as long as you are away for more than a week and have an address wherever you are going an international embassy will be able to organize you a travel document so you can board a flight back to Canada.

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Processing time has been updated to 16 calendar days. Should our existing ECAS login show the PR Card application? Mine still only shows the existing PR application with a status of complete.

CoPR Orig. entry date missing and did not receive 'Record Of Landing' document

I'd probably land first then correct it. The correction could take forever to process and it really isn't immediately a big deal.

CoPR Orig. entry date missing and did not receive 'Record Of Landing' document

I've done some searching and i've ready that it can cause issues with calculating citizenship time along with possible pension implications way down the road. I think i'll be safe and fill in the form to get it corrected. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/amend.asp

    landing in BC?

I just did my landing the other night at the Peace Arch. I'm not sure about public transport but if you look on Google Maps i'm sure there is something that will get you close enough. If you can drive, keep your eyes open for the 'peace arch provincial park sign', basically it's the last right...

    Landing without a US visa

What arowberry said is correct. As long as you are going to a land border you won't have any issues, just turn up, tell them you are changing your status in Canada, they will fill in a form saying you have been refused entry for admin reasons (it's called a flagpole) and you're good to go back...

CoPR Orig. entry date missing and did not receive 'Record Of Landing' document

Hi Guys, I successfully did my landing the other night, but I have a few questions: 1) I just noticed on my CoPR that the 'Orig. entry date' field is blank. I have been here for almost 7 years, so is this an issue that I should get rectified? 2) What is a 'Record of Landing'? I didn't receive...

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

I found a link for you: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=064&t=10 Like what I said in the last post, you will need to apply for a travel document from an embassy in your home country. Good luck!

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

I'm in a similar situation. I asked the officer at the border when I did my landing what I should do and she said without the PR card I should go to a consulate when abroad and they will issue a travel document. Once you get to Canada you won't have any issues with immigration, the biggest...

    December 2013 Applications

My CoPR turned up today :-) My status changed to DM on the 28th. All in all I'm quite impressed that this has all been finalized two months faster than the 13 months that CIC advertised. Good luck to everyone else that is waiting!

Why are they testing your nerves? You have almost certainly been approved and your PPR / CoPR should be here any day now meaning that you will have your PR a couple of months before the 13 month average processing time...

    December 2013 Applications

Mine just changed to DM as well, I only have a month left on my current visa so I hope it's soon to save having to apply for BOWP! I don't think anyone in this batch of DM's has received their CoPR yet but here is hoping they come soon. I did have a friend a few months ago who had his status...
