This may be the case for mail in application, I did submitted in-person so only required guarantor sign on photo and application form.

Yes but you need to tell the facilitator during oath ceremony. There is no fast/express shipping but they will make sure to send it ASAP without delay in case you inform them you have a travel plan.

I believe you can still upload by UCI number. I'm not 100% sure though, but you can email them anytime.

Send them a web inquiry and upload an explanation letter. Also you don't need to repay payments even if your application is returned, you can re use the payment receipt. Goodluck

Yes! For most of the applications in Toronto, unless it's not urgent, timeline is 6-8 weeks. I was not in a rush to travel anyways, now I have few extra weeks before renewal in next 10 years. LOL.

Called Passport office today and they said the processing time is 8 week plus 1 week for mail delivery because of Pandemic, they offer for urgent process if I can provide proof of emergency or ticket. I wish I had put a date while submitting application

I didn't mentioned date of travel because I had no plans for travel but this thing is getting on my nerves as it already 5 weeks since I submitted passport app.

NO pickup date mentioned, I was told that passport will be delivered by mail within 4-5 weeks from the date of submission, I believe it has some thing to do with travel dates, since I didn't mentioned any dates for me and for all my family.
