hello guys, I got my SA today after 46 days. I am the sponsor and I just wanted to know if the PA (person being sponsored) also gets any email when the Sponsor Approval is done or when AOR1 is received. I got my email today at 10:25 am. Is it just the sponsor who gets all emails from cic? Thanks

I applied this year in July. The appointment was in the US consulate in Calgary. They just asked me for my status in Canada and I showed my COPR, which was good enough for them.

I went with COPR for my appointment at the US consulate. There was absolutely no problem without PR card. The COPR was sufficient enough. I got 10 year US visa after my appointment.

Today I got my PR card finally. I landed on May 2.

Thanks for all ur responses. I was just a little concerned that when I tell the US officers that I am coming to US because the only option for me to enter Canada was by land which is why I came to US, it might raise a red flag and they might ask me for the proof if I have a valid canadian...

I just confirmed it by calling cic, they said taxi is not allowed because it is also a commercial carrier. So the only option is rental car i guess, which I investigated would cost me around 200$ one way from buffalo to toronto.

Its taking too long man. The processing time is 83 days these days after the landing.

Thanks, because I heard taxi is cheaper than renting a car.

how did you apply for a travel document? I think you can apply for it only outside of Canada, not when u r in Canada.
