I too got ghost update on 6th december but on profile.

Mine too moved status changed, CEC applicant. Checked with the agent he said Criminality passed. Looks like next batch should pick up.

I don't think so it's required to change the visa office only for stamping. call them and verify. I saw someone's spouse is in India and they stamped from their also.
