    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

I have a South American citizenship, so I'm not sure that theory is valid. Then again, I've been in Canada since I was 14 (I'm 23 now), and just to be safe, I sent all sorts of police certificates from my home country along with my application (even though officially they would only have to...

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

All permanent residence applications are submitted to CIO-Sydney, but are subsequently transferred to a visa office for the actual review process. The visa office can be a Canadian consulate or embassy abroad - or in our case, CPP-Ottawa. The fact that your file has been transferred there just...

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

It seems they're really plowing through those July 2013 applicants (September 2013 AORs) right about now. Remaining July applicants should be coming up very soon.

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

Ladies and gentlemen, the long-awaited day has arrived at last. Today, right on my birthday, I got PPR! Best of luck to all those whose processes are still active. God knows it's a long wait, but the feeling at the end is definitely worth it all.

I sure hope so! Given that it's my birthday on Tuesday, this would be just about the greatest gift ever.

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

Thanks, marunya, though I don't want to jinx it by celebrating before I get the official PPR... it's silly, but until I get the e-mail, I won't be thoroughly convinced that it's not a negative decision! Anyhow, based on your timelines, you and dior12 should be coming up very soon. Also, in case...

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

Dear all, I just logged into my eCAS and saw "decision made"! Definitely wasn't expecting any updates to come on a Sunday afternoon. I haven't yet gotten the e-mail from CIC, so a small part of me is still concerned that it could be a negative decision, however unlikely that is... Hopefully I'll...

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

I just wish this process weren't such a lottery. Just going by the people in this forum, the variation is incredible. One person got her AOR in June and had her PPR by November, while another got his AOR last April and only got PPR this February. I'm hoping to get AOR this month, but at the same...

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

I got my AOR in mid-September (applied in July) and still see only "application received" on eCAS. As you've said, I've heard of people who got their PPR while still seeing only "application received". Incidentally, has anyone who got their AORs around September heard anything yet? I know...

I'm pretty sure 20 days means 20 *business* days for analysis of your PEQ application. Including weekends, holidays and what not, it could take about a month, which is almost exactly how long it took for mine. A month and a half is a bit longer than usual, but I wouldn't worry too much quite yet.

Purchasing real estate to maintain PR

Hi all, I'm currently in the midst of my PR application process (I expect the visa to be issued around July this year, but that's obviously a best guess). I will, however, be going abroad to do my Masters degree starting this September. Though my program will be only one year long, I can't...

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

CIC will naturally run an RCMP background check for every application, it's not necessary that you send anything. They reserve the right to request additional documents from you, but my understanding is that that's very rare. In most cases they will just do their thing and you don't have to...

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

I completely forgot to mention, but I ordered GCMS notes on 24 January and got them around 25 February. Since I have roughly the same timeline as dior and marunya, I figured you guys might be interested. Application arrived at CIO-Sydney: 24 July 2013 AOR received: 19 September 2013 Medicals...

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

Dior, out of curiosity, when did you get your GCMS notes? I ordered them not too long after you (24 Jan), so hopefully I'll be getting mine at some point next week.

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

I think ultimately all applications go to CPP-Ottawa - it's just a matter of when. Either way, the best way to know for sure where your application is currently being processed is by ordering GCMS notes.

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

Is anyone here having trouble seeing their eCAS status? Once I try to log into the system, the bottom half of the screen blanks out for me (I can see up to the "Online services" and "FAQ/Security" lines, but everything below that is a grey blank area). I'm getting this problem since yesterday on...

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

A bit of a random question, but does anyone around here know whether there's a difference in processing times (at the federal level, that is) for PEQ-Graduate and PEQ-Work permit applicants? Theoretically, how one got his/her CSQ should make no difference for the federal level, but based on...

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

Have you tried e-mailing them? I've read some people state on this forum (not in this discussion, but in other threads) that their application was taking forever, so they e-mailed Ottawa and within two days they saw change in their eCAS (as though their application was almost done but was...

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

I'm quite certain I'm CPP-Ottawa actually. I've recently had to move back temporarily to my home country, so I shot them an e-mail asking if my application could still be processed in Ottawa or if it would have to be transferred to the Canadian consulate in my home country, to which they replied...

    QUEBEC PEQ LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE!!

Based on what I've seen on this forum, it could be anywhere between 1.5 and 6+ months. It's a bit of a lottery, but it seems that CPP-Ottawa is processing fairly fast right now, so if I had to take a guess, I'd say you'll probably get PPR sometime in February, perhaps March. Incidentally, both...
