My experience getting TRV approved for my Fiance

I think you can still apply. There is always a chance for a rejection even if you have a PR. As long as the officer can identify that your fiance doesn't intend to overstay (because of his ties to India, studies etc.), they shouldn't have a problem giving a visa. Another document (not sure if...

New Delhi (NDVO) 2017 - Spousal Sponsorship Outside Canada

I think they should have a maximum processing time for each process rather than a 12 month window. Something like your AOR1 should take no longer than 30 days, AOR2 no longer than 60 days, BCG check no longer than 120 days and roll them up to one year. This would give better clarity as to how...

My experience getting TRV approved for my Fiance

    1) You should wait till you land in Canada. Meanwhile, start collecting all the documents you need for TRV. Chances of getting TRV is better if you have a job in Canada and can prove you can support her financially. 2) No. 3) This can be done through US also, you don't need a US visa to do this.

Funny thing is that from this year when their so called accelerated spousal sponsorship processing time came down to 12 months, they take more time than they used to when the processing time was 18-24 months.
