You don't need a valid passport for citizenship application. My wife and daughter applied with an expired passport and we gave reasons in the application form " passport not renewed because there was no urgent need to travel outside Canda".

Got my Oath Date. Found out through my ecas (Line 5). Notice sent March 20, 2018. Ceremony on April 5, 2018 at 10:30am Good luck to eceryone waiting!

Anything is possible. Maybe thats why Saskatoon has 2 ceremonies on the same day.
