Landing in Canada with a Work Permit - Internal Transit

Thanks for the feedback. Appreciated! He will have the documents from the hospital and medical board in NB so I guess that is something he will have to verify with the hospital. Either way, it seems his connecting flight to NB (which again is short in terms of layover) is pointless as he...

Applying for a work permit from the United States - Residency requirements

For sure with regards to the latter. That is, answering the questions accurately. His concern has been more on the notion that the Canadian Visa office(s) in the United States would refuse to process his work permit to begin with as his "residency" status in the US is currently in flux. So...

Thank you for the feedback (both actually), I was just getting into that conclusion, we are basically just carrying clothes, few toys and books, our personal laptops/smartphones...so yes, not quite sure those would require us the B4 form. Hi all, A quick query: I was told by the CHC that I need to submit my passport to the VAC in London. A general question, can one bypass the VAC and send directly to the London Visa Office, thus avoiding the payment and the middle-person all together? Thanks,

    Bypassing the VAC

Hi, I was told by the CHC that I need to submit my passport to the VAC in London. A general question, can one bypass the VAC and send directly to the Visa Office in the respective country, thus avoiding the payment and the middle-person all together? Thanks,

Thank you for that, that makes sense. I was under the impression that the VAC would securely transmit the package to Ottawa so figured that it did not matter which VAC sends it, as the destination is Ottawa but some search actually confirmed what you have mentioned. Cheers!

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

Many thanks for that, appreciated! There is one bit on the medicals, which I am missing although it might be trivial: I completed by medicals in October 2013, couple of months before we submitted our application, and no further tests were requested throughout the process and I know that usually...

Many thanks for the feedback, so I should basically expect being asked to send in the passport for the IM-1 visa to be stamped in accordingly. Sounds good, cheers,
