I have submitted OCI application for three people first week of jan 2024 at Surrey via post. Its showing as under process with consulate since jan 26 and on oci tracker date of application is second week of feb 2024. any ideas how much time itis taking at the moment.

date of application as per BLS - Jan 13 for daughter and spouse and for self Jan 18 i just noted now it’s under processing with consulate timelines have improved it seems like

it was delivered to bls on Jan 8 and they acknowledged that it’s 4-6 business days it goes to consulate for processing , so rest applications were under process on Jan 13 and one last now shows as under processing Jan 18

For the first time i saw some urgency from BLS, i reported my case calling them and tracker was updated within few hours and i can now see my application under process.

I called BLS to check, checklist no matter any parent can sign , its form which matters most where both parents need to sign and infant need to sign or thumb impression at two places

I would say till you receive your intimation u/s 143(1) it may take while to get refunds processed. Remember the due date of return filing was around summers and if you filed late and owed no tax liability your return and refund processing gets into queue. So may be just wait few more weeks and...

would highly recommend having consistent signatures across both passports. Better call Bls and clarify to avoid getting application back for no reason. It’s annoying I understand

just one draft after confirming with BLs , when you call they will always ask which jurisdiction which gives slight confidence that they know what they are telling

No this stays with bls and you can collect pnçe ur back. i Have called them to confirm. I am having similar situation sinçe I apllied today and travelling on Feb last week. Likely I may get it as well. But not pinning any hopes with hopeless situation which all are in.
