i have not requested ATIP recently, however i asked about the status of the application using the web form and was told by London VO that security checks are done by third party partner organizations which IRCC has not control over. So they cannot tell the timelines when it would be done.

For me its been 20 months since application received by them, and first medicals have expired , while background checks are still in process . London Visa office is so slow.

for BC check it says " we are processing your background check" , so looks like its started , but not sure when it will be completed
