I'm noc 2173 and I'm into the 26th week. My employer told me that we may get a result this week or the next. Service Canada started asking questions and requesting documents a few weeks ago.

Unnamed LMO tends to be processed faster, but still the current processing times are as high as 28 weeks for 2173 NOC NAMED LMOs. So, sit down and wait, because it may take a while. Sorry. I've been waiting for almost 26 weeks now. It's a nightmare. :'(

It is not impossible, but it is taking up to 28 weeks, depending on the field. IT jobs tend to take longer.

One was graduated in computer science and had 3 years as a full time employee and the other over 8 years, but this one graduated in electric engineering.

Two colleagues of mine had their LMO rejected yesterday (after 7 months) due to "too few years of experience". They applied for IT Job in Toronto, ON in July/2013. I can't imagine how worrying this is... after so long, to get rejected. :'(

If you work in a branch of a company in another country for over 1 year, you can apply for a work permit without the need of a LMO. It's an internal transfer. How long have you been working for this company? Maybe, if it's over 1 year, you can apply using the same rule. You'd need to call...

I don't think there is a problem. I had a LMO filed in Toronto, and one month later another one filed in Vancouver, for the same company and NOC code. The one from Toronto got approved after 28 weeks, and now I am waiting for the Vancouver one, because that's where I'll work. Cheers

A colleague of mine received a positive LMO last Friday. Submit date: July 10th, 2013 Received date: January 24th, 2014 NOC: 2173 Location: Toronto, ON It took 28 weeks.

10 weeks? This was too fast. It looks like your employer already had an Open LMO and just requested to add your name to it. Isn't that the case? Thus, the fast processing.

I'm into the 21st week, for Vancouver, Noc 2173. No news so far. :'(
