The thing with Quebec is that there is a very strong English speaking population as well, especially in Montreal, if your French isn't perfect you're going to find people switch to English on you when you try and speak it. It's VERY hard to put into practice what you learn in class in Montreal...

Sorry, I've lived in Quebec for 3 years with a B1-B2 level of French and what you're saying just isn't true. I think a lot of people on this thread are slightly delusional with how easy it is to learn French however.

I was told that if you have your CSQ and you applied through PEQ you don't need to worry, you're exempt.

So I'm confused now, I called Immigration and they said if I have my CSQ then not to worry as it won't be retroactively evaulated. Does this mean that this isn't the case? Or does this apply to people who aren't using the PEQ to apply and instead are using the points matrix? That would make...

Confirmed with Quebec immigration, if you already have your CSQ but haven't yet applied for Federal, you are SAFE. You do not need to retake your test.
