i wrote an authorisation for my cousin who lives in vienna, sent it with our passports, and as soon as i got rprf, he turned in our passports personally, picked it up the same day, and sent it by bus. everything took 36 hours :p

you should wait for someone who actually used it to get a proper answer, but when i called, DHL and UPS also told me that they never did such thing and that they cannot organize it, only fedex said that i could send it via them, but i should inform the fedex in vienna when everything is ready...

i assume, since provinces, other than alberta, provide health insurance three months after you settle down (i guess they assume one needs three months to gather all documents, get a proper apartment, job...) i do not know what is covered by this, but i am sure you can look it up on their...

checked ecas this morning - decision made! probably happened sometime yesterday afternoon, since i've checked it in the morning. it looks really good next to my name! :)

as far as i'm familiar with this, passports usually get back within 10 days from the day they've sent it. so if they've sent it on the 9th, they should be with you by 19th of july, latest. probably even earlier. i think they send it by regular post, and i haven't heard that anyone had problems...
