I posted this in the 2012 thread but maybe someone here can shed some light as well!
We did not submit medical with PR application but received the request for meds along with AIP in late November. My husband had them done last week and they will be sent to CIC electronically.

Hi everyone, I thought this might be the best thread to ask in.
We did not submit medical with PR application but received the request for meds along with AIP in late November. My husband had them done last week and they will be sent to CIC electronically.
My question is, in a case like...
We got AIP on Nov. 19th but the only e-mail received was to me (Sponsor) saying that I was approved as the sponsor. We were worried too because I kept reading about people getting AIP and then OWP approval e-mailed shortly after. The actual OWP arrived in the snail mail 6 days later. So don't...
LMAO. My husband & I had a good chuckle about that too.
Thank you Cirene & Guri for the OWP congrats! 8)
I'm really crossing my fingers for everyone whose apps are SO close to getting AIP. It was a slow week but hopefully that means a big influx of completions over the next few!
OWP received in mail yesterday, yay! It was approved on Nov. 19th so took 6 business days to arrive in the mailbox. With it, we also received the letter requesting meds be done.
We feel your pain - and welcome to the club! ;) The current waiting time is fairly accurate as most of the recent recipients of AIP and OWP were processed around the 10/11 month mark. Before the PAFSCO strike, the website listed 6 months processing time for 1st stage but then there was a huge...
Just thought I'd share the update on this in case it happens to someone else. We called CIC yesterday morning and the lady told us that the work permit was sent on Nov. 19th, same day we received the sponsor eligibility e-mail. We told her that we never received that second e-mail saying that...
I did but they're so busy that my call gets disconnected before anyone comes on the line. I was advised in the 2012 thread that it could take a couple of days to receive that second part so I'm trying to be patient. If we don't hear anything today I will try calling first thing in the morning...
We got our Sponsor approval e-mail on Nov. 19th but no second e-mail confirming the Applicant/Work permit part - so I'm kind of back waiting with you guys too! ???
I realize the the term "in process" is not included in the document you cited and that is why I mentioned that the wording on the MSP site is unclear (I actually should have said "misleading"). We were excited too when we originally read that document and applied as instructed with the e-CAS...
Unfortunately the wording on the MSP website is not clear. I also live in BC and tried applying for MSP several months ago. In order to qualify you must prove that your Application for Permanent Residence is in Process (it cannot show on e-CAS as simply being "Received"). This means that you are...
Hi Screech, thank you for the quick response, it is much appreciated! So, if it isn't approved at the same time- is it possible it could take weeks longer or is more like days? They don't make this waiting thing easy do they, lol.
Congratulations to everyone here, this has been such a happy thread as of late!
Yesterday we received an e-mail saying "You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. The Application for Permanent Residence will be processed separately and the applicant will hear from this office...
Thanks for the response & advice! I will call and see if I can get through.
I'm pretty sure I have grey hair that I never had before this whole process!
Hoping for lots of good news today for everyone else too. Oh my, patience is certainly a virture!
