Thanks Stef, do you mean you sent an online request to change the date of your test and it took them 6 weeks to acknowledge it, or was it a request fro something else? Did you miss the test before they replied?
Thanks for your replies. I did not miss the test, my test has been set for about two weeks from now but I can't attend so I emailed them to ask them to reschedule it. I don't mind waiting to sit the test but I'm just wondering how long it takes them to actually reply to your request to change...
Hi, a query for anyone who had to reschedule their Citizenship test date - how long did it take to get a new date after you emailed them with the request? Is there a quick turnaround for this or do you not hear back from them for a few days/weeks?
Thanks
I would think the chances of them returning it are slim. It seems like mayur.mech's case is an outlier and that he or she was just very unlucky that the reviewer made an error: I have't seen anyone else on this forum report that their application was returned for this reason
Oh wow that's great you got AOR already. Maybe CIC have a separate team set up to deal with applications under the new rules so they will be processed right away? Wouldn't be very fair on previous applicants but would be good for us!
Hi Sooperdice, it seems quite a few of us did this: this was shared by another member:

Q19: Why is it important that the application date used in the calculation and the date of signature on the application form and the calculation...
Has anyone used the Canada Citizenship Test 2017 iOS app to prepare for the knowledge test, and if so, was it useful? How difficult is the knowledge test, do many people fail and have to retake it?
Thanks
Thank you for posting this rsn: it appears that they won't send back an application as incomplete if the eligibility calculator is not signed on the same date that you completed it which is good news, rather they will try to clarify that you are eligible, and a difference of one day is unlikely...
jacZ - I think it will be ok if you sign the application form and presence calculator after the date you calculated your eligibility period. It says on the application form beside the signature section: "IMPORTANT NOTE: Remember to make sure you that you are eligible to apply for citizenship on...
I don't agree that you have to submit a crown service form if you select YES on Q9: to do so if you haven't worked for the Crown Service is inaccurate, the form is clearly titled. It is better to include a letter explaining the situation with your application IMO
What is the next step after the application has been submitted, will CIC acknowledge receipt of a complete application or is it just a waiting game until you get called for your knowledge test (or have your application returned)? How long does it usually take to get called for the knowledge...
Hi there, can anyone tell me if I need to retake the language test to apply for citizenship? I took CELPIP in 2014 and I don't see any time limit on this on the CIC page (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=572&top=5).
Will the language test I took to get my PR in 2014 still...
Hi MarceauBletard, how do you know there will be two C-6 debates? Or do you mean two will happen today? Basically what I want to know is, after today, will the bill go back to the house? Thanks
