Flying to the US after oath ceremony - mail passport to US

I have the oath ceremony on a Friday at 1:30pm. I have to be in the US asap afterwards. From all that I've read here it seems like ECAS might be updated as early as the Monday morning after. If I'd do 24h express, the passport would be there the next day from what it sounds. BUT I was wondering...

    Reschedule test via "new" portal

But still no clue if that is "enough"? I got a confirmation email after going through the process. I feel like it should be enough but with this stuff I'm never confident it'll be fine.

    Reschedule test via "new" portal

I thought it was new. They sent a link in the email notifying about the test. Through that link you enter a "portal" where you enter application number etc and can choose 3 new possible test dates and it'll cancel your current test date.

    Reschedule test via "new" portal

Hey guys, I read some threads in regards to rescheduling the citizenship test and some people suggested using a web form, writing and email and calling. Some people did all three or at least two of these options simultaneously. I feel like with the new portal where you can pick 3 new dates and...

Have to ask for new test date? Whats the process right now?

I read that a lot of people try to call IRCC. I wonder how long it takes for them to process the web form. Should I do both maybe?

Have to ask for new test date? Whats the process right now?

Hey folks, my application got processed a lot faster than I anticipated. I'll have to postpone my test appointment because I'm currently travelling for a few months. I'm hoping to postpone the test at least 2 months. 1. Which is the best way to contact cic to let them know that I can't make the...

Multiple jobs at once - how to list properly

@attiya I was reading somewhere that CIC looks at ROEs the government received to validate an applicants entries in the employment section (not saying that anybody is required to attach them to the application). I just read that they check this somewhere in the forum. Hence I looked into the My...

Applied for CIT a few weeks ago, now what?

I'm just wondering where I'll receive the AOR, via emai? Further I tried my old ECAS account but under the UCI number nothing can be found. How to I get into there? Or will that only become available after AOR is sent?

Record of Employment ROE - is it important?

Hi folks, I applied for citizenship a couple weeks ago. I was wondering how important it is that all former employers have sent in a record of employment (ROE). I checked in my online service Canada account and only one former employer did so. I believe the current employer does not send one...

Multiple jobs at once - how to list properly

Good point with the order but I wonder if that really matters? I was starting to change it when I realised that the table for the tax stuff underneath is bigger now. I would have to reprint and sign again the whole application. I signed it 2 weeks ago while a lawyer looked over my shoulder. I...

Multiple jobs at once - how to list properly

A record of employment? I assume this was done because it all showed up when I did my taxes?

Multiple jobs at once - how to list properly

How do I list periods with more than one job at a time the right way? I started at the top with the first one of the eligibility period and worked my way down to current, adding the overlapping ones like so: ... 2014-06 to 2016-05 2016-01 to 2016-04 2016-03 to 2016-03 2016-05 to current

Eligibilty period addresses - filled out wrong

Hey, I just noticed I added the date when I moved into a place which is way before the eligibility period. It just asks to answer during eligibility. So technically it should the field "From" should start with the eligibility period and not before that. This is not a reason for the app to be...

Change test date - how much delay currently?

Hi there, I recently applied and my friend and I now thinking of doing a backpacking trip in a couple months. I could potentially fly back during the trip but I would prefer not to. 1. If I just request a new test date right after getting the notice, how much later will a new date usually be...

Question 11, jobs during eligibility. Multiple overlapping and missing details?

Hey, I had a few occasional jobs while I was doing my regular job. I have a hard time finding all the details and dates because it was occasional work at different locations. My list would be quite long and incomplete anyway. I assume the most important is to have all main jobs and no gaps?!

Temporary resident during eligibility period - calculator

Hey, I'm having a problem choosing the right option in the residency calculator. For 3 months during my eligibility period I applied for either a temporary resident visa or permit (TRV or TRP). I'm just not sure which one. One of them seems to count towards citizenship eligibility the other...

Cit application - Adress for correspondence vs home address

I'm going to move in 2 months and will be going traveling in 3 months for about 6 months. I'm about to apply I just don't know how to best handle the address part. 1. Address for correspondence I could use a work address or a friends place, correct? 2. For home address, it will change or go to...

Applying for Citizenship while immigrating somewhere else?

Hey folks, Is there any problem with receiving an immigration status in another country just before applying for Citizenship? I'll fill it out in the application under the list of statuses someone else. Also, the requirement for intent to live in CA is removed. Still going to stay in CA for a...

Applying for citizenship while becoming PR in the US

@sns204 that is a good point. I definitely have to update them, so might as well apply already with the PR status maybe. @ChippyBoy I applied for PR through the dv lottery so I actually haven't lived there at all yet. Not sure if I quite follow your implications and not familiar with those...
