I am not sure how do they pick the processing centres but in my case they started processing on June 6th and I got the Test date Oct 24th so not that bad. But like I said officer said it don't expect to be the invited for Oath for next 3-4 months. Let's see.

quick question - i got the AOR email last week. My application status says it they mailed me the Discover Canada study book...is it the same as online?

What do you mean by web submission? I am not aware of any process like that. Can you let me know or share the link? Yes the travel document I was using was the certificate of identity - even got 10 yrs US b1/b2 Visa on it.

so someone like me who's been in Canada for 6 years and has had PR for 2 yrs. I would qualify to apply as soon as it's become effective? I don't mind even if it takes over a year because I was going to be qualified to even apply in 2018. :)

yes - that's the reason why the indian consulate taking forever because they need to get the application cleared from Indian ministry but they kept telling me over the years it is possible and charged me 400 Dollars for the processing fee. And I have brought this up with the CIC many times that...
