CIC just updated the processing time (as of March 10, 2014). I don't know if we'll consider it as an update because Manila is still at 14 months. >:(

It's not self explanatory if you can't even give a quick example how it could jeopardize an application.

It would take a complete set of application details for it to be even useful to anyone with bad intention. A file number is useless without other details. Btw, there's always a kinder tone or better way of calling the attention of someone here who seem to have made a mistake.
