I got a second ghost update yesterday so something is happening for Cec inland applicants at the Ottawa office. My AOR is Oct 12th.

Ues you can submit yes that is correct. I also submitted the receipt letter after applying for BOWP to EI when they called to verify my status and that was good enough for them. When I received my permit I emailed a scanned copy of the permit when it arrived.

It usually takes about 3months to process. Once your current permit expires you will be on implied status and you can carry on working if you don't get you bowp before then.

It made more sense reading gcms notes from the bottom up. You can usually find the notes with the details under the analysts comments. That's where you can figure out what additional docs to submit.

Get gcms notes. I waited because I thought it was ok then got gcms notes as padvised on this forum and found out what the delay was and proactively submitted docs that I did not think they needed initially.

I would suggest renewing your passport if it does not take a long time then applying with a passport that is valid for more than 6months to be safe. A few people have gotten rejections on not meeting criteria no matter how small we perceive it to be.
