    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

Got some terrific news yesterday. I received an email from CIC stating they had completed processing of my application, and asking me to pay the $490 RPRF fee. A few hours later I got another email stating my landing interview would be February 18th. Finally after 28 months it is almost over!

Error when Paying Right of Permanent Residence Fee Online

Nevermind, resolved it myself. Firefox and IE wouldn't cooperate so I tried Chrome and it worked.

Error when Paying Right of Permanent Residence Fee Online

I am trying to pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee online, but every time I hit submit it says "You can not submit an empty form!". It does not give me the option to fill out a form and I cannot find a form to fill out (if it exists) anywhere. It is possible I am doing something wrong...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

I believe the form we need to fill out is IMM5710E, "Application to Change Conditions, Extend My Stay or Remain in Canada as a Worker". I think it is the same form I had to fill out when I first applied for the OWP. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

Still waiting here too. I was one of those who was not given PR in 2014 because they had run out of their "allotment" for the year. 23 days into January and nothing has changed. What's worse is that CIC has yet to respond to requests for info from our MP's office. Those requests were made the...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

Congrats to Hyacynth and Psalm91 on your DMs! I am very encouraged to see some inland DMs in the past couple of weeks. I think i was close to getting one too, but my passport had expired and CIC asked for a photocopy of the renewed one. Yesterday the call center confirmed that they received...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

Thanks for your response Jolly1. I am indeed in the second stage and it does usually take around 8-10 months. However, CIC lost my FBI letter and possibly my RCMP background check and never bothered to follow up with me. It wasn't until I got my MP involved that this got resolved (I had...

How do you Americans like Canada? :P

I am from Nashville originally. Was in Knoxville a number of years getting my bachelor's degree at UTK. My wife is a dual citizen, spending much of her childhood in Bloomington, IN. Her mom still lives there.

How do you Americans like Canada? :P

Yeah that one was a rude awakening for me (or should I say, sleepening?) In Nova Scotia they are selling a "Citrus charge" version which does have caffeine. The nearest Tim's is 25 kms away so sometimes it's my best option. I have yet to find Cherry flavored Pop Tarts in Canada. What's up...

    Spousal sponsorship

Yesterday I had to do my medical again. Fortunately it is the last thing they need from me so once it has been processed I should get a DM. My question is, how long does it normally take to process a medical for my type of app (pr via spousal sponsorship)? The Dr. told me it takes 4 months...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

Thanks for the info QuebecOkie, much appreciated. :) I was able to get CIC to confirm receipt of the final document they were waiting for. Relieved to hear that, however I still don't have a decision and my medical is set to expire today. I was told by my MP office that CIC would likely grant...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

Is this the average time for all those who have landed, even those who don't have an interview? I guess I should also ask, is everyone required to have an interview after DM and before landing? I ask because I am trying to figure out how much longer I need to wait. I am now at month 19 since...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

My wife wrote an email to our MP last night, and to our pleasant surprise a rep for the MP phoned us this morning. She said she will request info about our app to CIC in the next day or two, and that it generally takes a few days to get a response. I'll be happy to share what we find out from...

She has not contacted the MP yet, but that is a good idea. I'll let her know that we should give that a try. Thanks for the advice computergeek, much appreciated.

I feel your pain all too well. I am at just over 10 months since AIP. I called to ask why it has been that long even though the estimates are for DM within 8 months. They said it is 8 months for 80% of the applications. I do wonder if that's just the "party line" or if they are just running...
