no its not. my passport is a 10 year passport, it wont expire till 2017. they certainly wont issue me a entry visa for 3 years window for me to land in canada lol. the form says you have to land in canada before the expire date and if you cant make it, you have to contact them. it maybe longer...

return tracker active today feb 6th. passport sent out from ottawa last night at 6 pm. hopefully i will get it tomorrow. sent out last thursday. so its about 1 week.

i m leaving in march to Dominican republic for vacation for 1 week, and i will be landing on my way back to canada at halifax internation airport, using my "single entry visa". and i called the airport. they said there is immigration service there if you fly into halifax.

when did you sent your passport out ? I sent out mine last thursday,showed it was received Friday.my status changed to "decision made" same day. return tracker is not yet activated.

YES I called halifax international airport this morning (made lots of calls today lol), they told me that if i am flying into Halifax, i can do my landing there, just can't drive up to the airport and do it haha. i guess i have it all figured out! thanks again everyone

but you cant just do that at any airport right ? i m flying back to canada entering from Halifax airport, would they do the landing service there?

CIC told me that there is no guarantee that i m able to re-enter canada on my way back , its totally up to the officer at customs. well, i guess thats helpful lol

i m going to Dominican for vacation, you only need valid Canadian VISA, which my entry visa and work permit are good till July. So if like what they said they would take my old visa at the boarder if i choose to land this month, i couldnt come home without my PR card in March then :'( i m confused
