I am traveling by Plane from USA. I am not visa-exempt but I have a valid TRV that expires in November. I'm not worried about the airline, I am worried about immigration in Canada. But I think you answered my question, if I can board the plane, then I should be fine in Canada airport.

Perfect! this is the answer I was looking for. My TRV is still valid so the airline would have no idea that I am now a PR. I'm not worried about boarding the plane, I was just worried about what the immigration in Canada will say when I land. Thank you!

Thanks Lexxy, just the 1,040 is enough. They ask you to bring the receipt but she can see on the computer that I had already paid so not sure why I needed to bring it.
