Got my BOWP approved without submitting AOR

You should include an explanation letter highlighting that you are applying for a BOWP, even if you plan to continue working for the same employer and check that box on the form.

Got my BOWP approved without submitting AOR

I applied by mail, without AOR, but with an explanation letter, proof of my mailing of my CEC application, and a copy of my CEC application. The package was received in Vegreville on July 2. My work permit (IEC) expired on July 8. I received AOR July 14. I received my work permit September 3...

Got my BOWP approved without submitting AOR

Your wife should be eligible, however, I don't think you are as one of the conditions of the BOWP is that you "have valid status on a WP that is due to expire within 4 months". http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob485.asp If you have a son who will end up suffering...

Got my BOWP approved without submitting AOR

Hopefully you will get your AOR with no problems. If not, get another CEC application in immediately and then apply for the BOWP (preferably by mail to buy more time - processing times are longer) and as long as both are sent before your current work permit expires you should be OK anyway...

Got my BOWP approved without submitting AOR

No update yet - I applied by mail to buy myself some additional time in case things don't go as planned. I'm expecting to get my decision sometime in early September.

Can you get declined working bridge permit for applying too late?

Can you get declined working bridge permit for applying too late?

This is incorrect. I am currently working under Implied Status as I have applied for a BOWP and my IEC work permit has expired. My BOWP application was managed by an immigration lawyer.

Take a look at this one: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t153061.0.html I hope this helps and good luck (I'm still waiting for my AOR but submitted my application for a BOWP last week...)!

what the heck actually happens after AOR?

Well I was issued AOR last time I applied with the same personal history so hopefully it'll be alright. If they send the AOR am I good or will they potentially request further information or even reject my application?

what the heck actually happens after AOR?

Hi SenoritaBella, I submistted my CEC application in late May but have since realized that on my Schedule A I have two gaps in my personal history - one of 2 months and one of 3 months (I realise now I probably should have attached an additional sheet of paper). Assuming I receive my AOR (I did...

CEC/Bridging Open Work Permit and timescales/implied status under IEC

For anybody else in the same situation, I called CIC this morning and this is what they had to say: If you apply for a BOWP before the expiry of your current IEC work permit, you are considered to be under Implied Status until a decision is made on your BOWP application. If you apply by mail...

CEC/Bridging Open Work Permit and timescales/implied status under IEC

Thanks, it's good to know I'm not the only one in this situation! Based on what seems to be the 6-week AOR rule, I would receive it the day my current visa expires - too much stress. I'm considering doing as you have by mail the week before my visa is up (July 8) to ensure Implied Status and IF...

CEC/Bridging Open Work Permit and timescales/implied status under IEC

Is anyone aware of any risk of me applying for a BOWP without my AOR and working under Implied Status (presumably for approx. 3 months if done by mail) until I get rejected? And chance this would have a negative impact on my CEC application? In addition, assuming I get my AOR prior to my BOWP...
