Does anyone know if you can pick up your permanent residence visa in person at Mexico City rather than sending in your passport and waiting for it to be courier end back? This is a Venezuelan applicant that has been approved for a spousal residency. Thanks

Our Ecas said 'Decision Made until a couple weeks after landing - so don't worry about it - it will never give you the details.

We didn't provide email on the application. After seeing many posts about email correspondence we clued in that if you get in touch via email you give them 'permission' to communicate with you that way -so we simply sent an email to (buffalo-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca) stating file number...

Cherlyn, don't forget...........we got our PPR before Ecas was updated - which appears to only happen Tuesdays - so keep checking your emails!

Thanks Alison, We are just trying to work out the logistics to add a couple days to the trip to Toronto to make this happen - and agree that it will be best to do it in person. We won't land when we cross back though, as we leave 4 days later for Europe, and will land upon returning to Vancouver...

Thanks Cheryln! I'm sure you are right around the corner. We are in a dilemma re the passport (anyone have a phone number for the consulate?). We are going to the UK on Sept 25th till Oct 11. The Passport request noted that they wanted it before Oct 16th. Based on their turn around time of 15...

Great to see people getting PPRs but it seems like they've completely passed over all the March applications that are in process >:(

Cherlyn, we are in almost the exact same position - it helps to know one is not alone! Buffalo started processing May 25, we got a letter dated June 25 (3mos ago today) saying they didn't need anything else..............and nothing since. It is a test of patience for us all!
