Yes, attestation is no longer required. Indian consulate and BLS websites are not clearly updated regarding what documents are required. Since I have completed this whole process I can answer your specific questions.

Quick question, my OCI status just updated to “Passport ready For Collection after OCI stamping” can i go to BLS today (It’s 15:12MT here) or it will be available for pick up tomorrow?

They do, if you paid for courier service at BLS. But if you opt for pick up (like me) the status update is “ready for collection” instead of “dispatch”

BLS Calgary accepts the entire amount (CGI+BLS) by Debit and cash. Toronto BLS works differently.

You can pay at the BLS office in cash or by debit. DD/Money order is for postal apps.

Fill out the application, mention the travel date on top right. Bring the proof of travel with you along with required documents to the closest passport office in your city.
