    Express Entry vs Work Permit

The Express Entry is not the same and does not have any processing times as its all to soon to get any data. You may need LMIA for the work permit Unless you have ITA invitation to apply then you will not get AOR for EE. There is not conflicts as they are two completely different things

    4th draw over - 735 points - 1187 invitations...

Human factors score doesnt really matter for this new system....at least at this early point. Canada has the best educated cab drivers and security guards in the world and the fact that highly educated immigrants can only find such work has caused the government to better match the skills gap to...

Brutal Winter and a Jobless Immigrant family

But the Toronto job market isnt even luke warm right now. When i came here over 3 years ago i wanted to come to Vancouver or Toronto but after looking hard at the possibilities of job success i decided to vote with my head and play it safe in Alberta. I have never heard of Alberta! But i knew...

I don't want to go back without completing 1 full year in Canada

One solution could be to apply for a work permit extension in order to get implied status for 2 months. This could give you the extra month of work experience. I'm not sure what type of permit you have but i would look into extending it with the goal of getting implied status

Current salary not matching Median Wage for LMIA?

Think about it! The job advert MUST state the wage offered to the applicant and if this wage doesn't fall within the median range then they will deny the application because this is a MAJOR no no. The reason why the LMIA are here is because of employers hiring cheaper workers and leaving the...

    Consultants for LMIA

Well i think just because foreign students get degrees or whatever doesnt mean that they will get a job. The government are obviously pairing getting a job (LMIA supported) with PR for reasons only known to themselves but i suspect it has something to do with future economic outlook. You could...

What about if employer took only 1 interviews before hiring international stud..

That would be seen as a positive for you but....BUT....the job application for job ban MUST MUST still be online until you get the positive LMIA. Otherwise they will reject it when they return to your application in 3 months looking for proof that your employer tried to hire Canadians...

    Consultants for LMIA

The normal process when getting Lawyers/consultants involved with LMIA is that YOUR EMPLOYER MUST pay for their services! As they are working to get the LMIA for the employer NOT employee. If a lawyer says he can get you an LMIA be very very suspect and dont pay any money until you have an LMIA...

Any idea when is third draw

Well, from the CIC news story. 10000 applied for the first draw and 3000 got into the pool. THEN they draw out 779 people.....not by highest but by a DRAW...which means its RANDOM within the pool. Its still a draw! Which means some people dont get picked and must re-enter the pool for the next...

    Canada EE basic info

If you can get a company to get an LMIA approved job offer then your chances of success jump considerably due to the 600 points bringing your total to the top 10%

Any idea when is third draw

realistically, a guy with 1200 points can miss out on ITA over a guy with the lowest like 800. The first draw had 3000 in the pool for the draw in which 1 out of 4 got their ITA's. So even if you have 1200 points it could take 4 draws to get ITA? At least thats how i see it?

    Should I apply now?

Yes OP, create your profile honestly first and then update it if and/or when you get the LMIA as these are NOT easy to get.

what will be min cut off point for third draw

I think with more LMIA free spots the score will come down to 600 and below. 1200 is the max so without LMIA and PNP then 600 is the max you can get. So without the LMIA and PNP the score MUST come below 600. Make no mistake...there will always be LMIA and PNP in the pool and there are still...

Only 3,000 Candidates were in the pool during the First Draw !

Its a different climate for immigrants now. These new rules are designed to stem the tide of new people coming here so there isnt much anyone can do but be very thorough with their applications to give little excuses to deny.

    LMIA processing time - Alberta

The advertisement period is only 4 weeks. And typically the processing time for LMIA is another 3 months. What grounds did they deny his LMIA? This is very important as mine was denied the first time around also due to advertisements requirements set out by Service Canada and a few other minor...
