Waiting for Surrender cert since 2nd June 2022.

Got my passport by mail today. Canada post delivery person ringed the doorbell and handed it over to me. Timelines as above. The journey comes to an end after 12 years in Canada. A big Thank you to all of you .:)

Called the Toll free number (1‑800‑567‑6868) yesterday around 5pm EST. Had to dial some 20 times to get through. Do press 1 and then listen to the first line ("Office closed on May 23rd"). As soon as the recording starts on "How to apply for a passport", I dropped off and tried again and again...

Sent in mail application on March 16. Reached Gatineau on March 17th. CC charged on 12th April. Hopefully passport arrives soon. Fingers crossed.

received citizenship certificate today. Feb 17th I had my oath. NGF office and Ottawa applicant. The long long journey has finally come to an end. Had to wait 10+ months to get oath scheduled after passing the citizenship exam. All the very best to all of you!

Completed oath on Feb 17th. Application marked as closed on Feb 22. Its now 3 weeks and waiting for certificate. Hope they dispatched it.

Should I expect some refund from IRCC as they did not meet oath invite timelines? I am waiting for 9+ months since I passed by citizenship test for an oath invite. Looks like some good news after all if I get some $$ back :D...

I am from Ottawa too. File processed from Niagara falls office as well. Waiting for oath ever since I cleared the exam on April 18th 2021. Decision made and all other checks completed on May 13 2021. Almost 9 months now since I passed my exam that I am waiting for my oath invite.

After waiting for 6 months since I passed the citizenship test, I finally.. . . . . booked my flights to India for December. So likely if I get an oath invite in the next 3-4 months, I will ask to postpone it till I am back in Ottawa again sometime in 2022 :cool: .
