The Visa office in Sao Paulo called my wife on Monday. They will be sending her Passport with Visa in the mail Wednesday Aug 11, 2010. So hopefully she will arrive in Canada by next week! I must admit this process was much faster than we anticipated. Good Luck to you all.

Yes it shows on e-cas. You need to click on the "In Process" link under the Permanent Resident part of the application.
