So in essence what you're saying is that there no written rules for allow re-entering on a multiple entry visa? Outcome is dependent entirely on the border officer present? That is not comforting to say the least!

Mine never went to Islamabad. I filed in mid October and then first got the receipt notification via email in November meaning that it has been received in Mississauga and then an email in January that it is in London. I never got any letter or email saying that it went to Islamabad.

Sure thing. My file got transferred to London end of January 2014. VO = Visa Officer

Your status won't change till a VO actually opens/reviews your file which would be months after it is received. Though, once it changes to In Process, things move on pretty fast from there.
