You can write a cover letter and reference your file# stating the question# as well that you made an error on. This will be enough as the visa officer can connect the dots and read as well what you are trying to explain to him.

NDVO received my wife remeds on Jun 3. It's going to be 8 weeks for me coming Aug 3rd.
