I think I got the originals around 10-14 days after I got my passport/surrender certificate

Hopefully someone from Vancouver jurisdiction will answer soon. In my case (Toronto), I submitted only self-attested photocopies of Canadian Passport and Citizenship certificate.

You would get it via Purolator. I had submitted my OCI and indian passport surrender at the same time. So I got 2 Purolator packages (cancelled Indian passport/surrender certificate, original COPR and OCI acknowledgement)

I don't specifically remember how long it took for status change, but I guess you should give it some more time. Check status in both Indian Govt website as well as BLS website in a week's time. The BLS people would have checked your docs, and I guess everything should be in order. Be patient...

I saw that too, and I dont understand why it was needed. I didn't do it. All that matters is that the documents get uploaded, and you are able to print out the pdf document generated with all the details.

They didn't take my Original Citizenship certificate. Only the photocopy in my case.

If i remember correctly- the next status change would be "(Counter Delivery to BLS Centre after OCI stamping)" i.e to indicate the transit from Indian consulate to BLS centre, and then it will be dispatched to you via purolator.
