    Re applying for sponsorship?

Yeah this process has certainly taken its toll. I did leave for all the examples given above. It was terrible. He's really made some positive changes though, I'd like to blame it on the "we were young" excuse but of course that isn't any excuse at all. One thing I can't say about him is that...

    Re applying for sponsorship?

Hey there, Our case is defiantly complicated but I'll give a little background. My husband came to Canada in 2010 on a work visa, he took off and applied for refugee status. Got denied. At that time we got married, he was asked to leave (which he did) before we could apply inland. He went back...

I'm pretty sure a pardon is the next step but go figure Google doesn't have much to offer on the how to...

    Unpaid fines

Yeah this was my fear. I don't know if I can handle going through the process a second time
  15. mizzdanish

    Unpaid fines

Yes I read that but I also read where it said it's either 5 years after the sentence was imposed (in this case a fine) OR of the 10 years have passed since the crime was commited and as long as the crime would not exceed a 10 year jail sentence in canada.

    Unpaid fines

My spouse who I am sponsoring has the 12 year old record, assult with a weapons I believe is the charge. He has paid the majority of the fine.
