So here's my update for today.. Last heard from CIC on the 4th of this month when they told me they were still doing background checks and that they'd extended my medical for a year.. So I reply to the email today asking if there's any news.. Now normally I deal with someone using the initials...

As far as I am aware, they can brush anyone off, even MP's, merely by stating that the application is still within standard processing times.. I.E. The 10 months they advertsie online. Unless that's changed at all. After that they need to be a bit more creative I guess. I suppose they could do...
