    register for election question

Thanks for the explanation. That makes sense. But I did check that box in my application form when I applied. Anyways, going in person to register is not too much of a big deal. BTW I got my passport yesterday. So exciting!!

At my ceremony we were told to wait for 3 business days. I played safe and waited for 6 days in total (there was a long weekend, so 6-3=3 business days).

    register for election question

It's strange. When I called elections office, the lady told me new citizens have to go in person to register. I didn't even tell her I don't have a DL. Anybody else have similar experience?

    register for election question

Ah I see. Maybe because I don't have a deiver's license, my options are these I don't see the option to submit driver's license or provincial ID. I do have a BC services card but that doesn't seem to suffice. Anyways, I will call them to see what I can do.

    Post-Citizenship Checklist

My oath is in a week. I'm just reading the passport application form and instructions. Do we have to fill everything in capital letters? On top of pptc153 it says "Type or print in CAPITAL LETTERS using black or dark blue ink". It feels strange to have capitalized home address, email address, etc.

They didn't open my file either. I think the 6 months wait time is their standard response to us who are eager to know about the oath.
