Hi, I would like to share our experience, and some information on PR cards. So we finally landed in Calgary this week. The process was very smooth. The officer asked my wife if she has any dependent, and we said yes. The confirmation letter still says no because the officer said our son is...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Hi guys, we are landing next week, and one question about PR card. My wife (whom just got the DM), is planning to go home for a few month, and we are aware of the current long wait time for the PR card. Can she be outside of Canada while waiting for the PR card? I am planning to bring the card...

finally received the notice for landing interview, which is in two weeks. I have a question about proof of payment. I found the receipt I had when sponsored my wife two years ago for PR, for $1040. The receipt does not say what it is for. Would they be able to figure out that this is the...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Again, frustrated by CIC. When we received AIP in May (feb applicant), it was only requesting fingerprint, and I called CIC about medical test, as it was done in Dec 2013. The agent said the officer has allowed it to be treated as acceptable. Even says Medical received on our ECAS. Today, a...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Hi, Does anyone have experience of been requested for fingerprints and RCMP background check during AIP, and has gotten the landing interview? I just want to get an idea of how long we have to keep waiting. Also, if requested for fingerprint, do we also required to submit schedule A again? It...

That was the strange part. We had forwarded background checks for her in two other countries where she stayed for more than 6 month. The letter specifically request her to get the RCMP one.

Thanks! I called the next day, and the agent said the officer who was reviewing our case left a note saying try to extend her medical for one more year. So hopefully that's the case. She had her done in dec of 2013.....

I think the argument about if one (under the process of in-land application) is allowed to leave and re-enter the Canada boarder would be an ongoing one. To me, this is the worst of all about the In-land PR process. Yes, it is not recommanded to leave the country while your "IN-LAND" application...

Thanks Screech339 for your respond. The reason why i asked was that when you apply for sponsoring PR, it has a form for your to fill out to indicate your source of income/employer information, and even in the checklist which asks for employer letter or job offer letter. I was assuming that you...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Hi, I would like to be prepared for something that may change our circumstances. With the low oil prices, people in Calgary will be impacted. So far, nothing had happend to my company, but I can expect that the storm is coming. So here is my question: what should I do if (the sponsor) lose the...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Yes, it is bit strange. Since your passport is expiring soon, not sure why you submitted PR/OWP application at the first place. The good news is they have not returned your package, which could mean they just haven't got to it. About your PR, send them the photo copy of your renewed passport as...
