    October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

I was originally offered an oath date of March 14th immediately after passing the test but asked to re-schedule due to existing travel arrangements. Today logging in I see an update that a notice has been sent with the oath date of April 5th. Please update the sheet.

Not sure exactly which date last week (Thursday or Friday) but when I checked on the weekend status was updated to DM. Also although I live in Toronto processing is via Mississauga.

    October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

Moved the trip. Took the test as scheduled 06/02/2018, passed and the officer told me that my application for citizenship was granted after briefly verifying documents and verbally confirming a few details (address, occupation). Online status is IP still but they gave me an oath date of March...

    IRCC technical difficulties

Sort of, but in the same breath the way their stuff is set up (especially the calculator) effectively maximizes the load by ensuring there is a hit to the servers to validate every single entry one by one rather than doing more client side with server side validation at the end. I still have 40+...

    ABLE TO PRINT NOW!

What software are you using? The newer version of the form allows me to both enter data and print (using the ancient Acrobat Reader on Linux).

    ABLE TO PRINT NOW!

It's kind of a moot point because at the current rate of issues with the calculator timing out I'll still be filling that out in a week's time anyway.

    ABLE TO PRINT NOW!

It's not, the one it gave me this morning and now have different sha256 checksums - and more importantly the new one allows me to print.

ServiceOntario locations that will deal with temporary residents OHIP needs?

I gave it a shot as it was significantly closer for me since I moved recently. I can confirm that the Bay and College location will handle OHIP renewals for people who are on, or were recently on, work permits (I still wish they would make it clearer on the website which locations will do this...

ServiceOntario locations that will deal with temporary residents OHIP needs?

Hi all, I recently became a permanent resident but when I went to the midtown Toronto ServiceOntario to renew my health card (and report change of status) they said they could not do it even though I am now a permanent resident because my *current* health card was issues based on a temporary...

Sign petition: New citizenship rules affecting foreign workers

What is particularly interesting is that this actually applies to the journalist charged and convicted of terrorism in Egypt recently who holds dual citizenship. Not surprisingly the government has said that they will not be revoking Canadian citizenship in this case, but it's easy to imagine...

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

It wont show up until someone at CIC actually starts processing it, which is what most of the waiting time is for. By the time it shows up you are probably 1-2 weeks max from getting it (at least that was my experience).

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

At least it makes sense that renewal times are variable, there is some actual verification of status etc. required, it's still really unclear to me what extra steps are involved in issuing new PR cards after they have spent 12+ months verifying the applicant's eligibility other than printing the...

filed canada experience class but out of status

When did you last enter Canada? What status did you enter under when you last entered Canada? When did that status expire (if it expired)? Did you apply for a change of status at any point (other than via the CEC program) and if so was it granted? Are you still in Canada? TL;DR Do you have any...
