Los Angeles Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

We received the COPR in the mail on Friday. Exact same time! Too funny. We sent our original application in January as well, so call it 7 - 8 months.

Los Angeles Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

I think we are right behind you. My wife's status switched to decision made right near the end of july as well. We too were told the application was going to LA but was processed in Ottawa. Hopefully the COPR arrives at her parents house shortly. Cheers - also about 7 months for us.

Los Angeles Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

Thanks Lawgrrl. So you just received the COPR in the mail in the US without an update by email or on ECAS? My concern with updating to a Canadian mailing address is that they transfer the file to Canada and we end up waiting longer. We have the ability to just change her mailing address to...

Thats helpful. So we'll keep our fingers crossed that we either have to send the passport in electronically (or not have to at all) rather than physically send it to the LA office. We were told the application was transferred Feb 14 2013 to LA following sponsorship approval. Based on your...

Los Angeles Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

Thanks for the response. I think we will specify the Canadian address if we can since I dont want to rely on what will be a former employer in several weeks. What do you mean by "visa exempt" though, are you referring to the fact that she has a nexus card she is exempt from part of the process...

Hey Guys, Hoping to receive approval soon / passport request. My wife's lease is up in 2 months and she is going to move to Canada by then at the latest in any event. Is it possible to send in her passport and get it returned to a Canadian address? We both have nexus cards, so not worried...
