Just thought of sharing this information about my citizenship application

I noticed couple of applicants(changed in-process in nov and dec12/Jan13) mentioned that their files were transferred to local office around 4 months after they called the CIC. I assume that applications started in-process at Sydney taking 4 months to transfer files to local office..let's see...

    Why Citizenship process delayed???

My guess is that citizenship resources allotted to clear the backlog of other immigration files. As per the recent updates, that process is almost completed and now reverting those resources back to work on the citizenship applications..Or still these resources assigned to process other types of...

ONLY - RQ for the applications sent from OCTOBER 2012

I agree. But at least CIC have CBSA record to cross validate with the applicant's entry information. If they see any discrepancy, the applicant may have high changes to get RQ. -No criteria or validation required if they decide do it to delay the process with whatever the reason(no budget...

ONLY - RQ for the applications sent from OCTOBER 2012

I guess none of the applicants got RQ by now. But in case if you are requested RQ, please post here in this thread. The reason for limiting for only applicants submitted their applications from oct 2012 is that the oct application form included the CBSA document consent.

Why different timelines to show received or in process application status

Why is CIC taking different timelines to update "Received" or "in-process"? Why is not in the first in first started way? It doesn't seem the CIC has an efficient citizenship processing strategy? I wonder CIC hired any of the naturalized Canadian citizens who well experienced this struggle going...

Citizenship Application received by cic December 12, 2012

very interesting time line..it looks like CIC going thru improving on process..rather than keeping file for a long time in "Received" status changing the file to "In process". Applications submitted since last october with new application forms moving little faster than older applications...
