    Parent Sponsorship - Income requirements

Hi all, Question regarding the minimum income requirements for sponsoring your parents. I looked at the CIC website but still a bit confused. My family consists of me and my daughter (1.5 yrs old), and I would like to sponsor both my parents. Would I need an income of $38,272 for 2 people (me...

big age difference, my wife much older

I guess I am speaking from a personal perspective here,my point being that relationships with a big age difference are more common than most people think. It doesn't usually raise flags for CiC if culturally that's common for example or if there is solid evidence that the relationship is...

big age difference, my wife much older

My husband and I had a big age difference too 23 years, me being younger. We were never called for an interview. We included proof of our relationship and halfway through the sponsorship we had a baby, bought a house etc and resubmitted more proof. Fast forward to a year after I received...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

No. You need your passport, 2 pictures, the letter you received from the landing office and your sponsor. You can bring mail or id with the sam3 address but we were never asked. The landing appointment is more of a formality and for you to sign the paper for PR. They check your info with you...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Oh WOW, Feeling sorry for you. It is a long process as it is. Stay strong, that's all you can do. The good news is that you have an OWP. Don't give up looking for jobs, it always takes time. There is a lot of decent jobs (admin, clerk) you can find even if your education is not accredited here...

What does your letter say? Are you sure its not the landing "transfer"? Normally once a file is approved, it will go to your local office for a landing appointment.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Mine has everything approved and passed (medical, background, criminality, relationship). It used to have random dates before, when there was hardly anything processed. I think they allocate their staff to different immigration queues at different times of the year. For someone who asked, I...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Hi. That's not the case. But as you may have noticed it is taking a long time for them to process apps. They are giving some AIPs (we got ours and do did other people). But from what I read on my notes they must not be working full staffed on inland. All I have to say is that if it is anything...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Hi all, I called CIC again today to see if AIP was issued for us and I was told that the medical has been passed, the criminal check has been passed. The sponsor has been approved and that it should be a matter of time before they approve the file. The file has been marked for January 1st 2015...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

So I called the call center and they said the sponsor is approved. They are now working on my part of the first stage and we should hear any minute now. As for the second stage it has been marked for the beginning of 2015!!! So it seems that they will get rid of july 30th after all #fingerscrossed#.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Apparently they are different, there is two parts to first stage approval. I believe we have sponsor approval only (if that's what the letter is) and no AIP. I think we'll see some movement soon :)
