Timeline after submission on the new PR confirmation portal

eCoPR came quickly (3-4 days after completing the info on the PR portal). Photo/address are taking a bit longer (uploaded Oct 1, still waiting for review on both)

Can a Use of Representative Form be used in Docusign?

Probably too late for this one, but we had our spousal application returned because we used Docusign, they wanted a pen and paper :-( Resubmitting with ink signatures for everything now.

September 2012: FSW Arranged Employment applicants join here

FWIW: My AEO is based on an offer from my current employer (to whom an LMO had already been issue, and the AEO was tied to it). I've done my re-entry at Rainbow Bridge a few weeks ago, and was surprised to find that the border agent asked me for either a confirmation that I was indeed working...

Where to validate CoPR within Canada?

Technically yes - we crossed the bridge, went to the US (needing US visas at this point), then crossed back to Canada. *In theory*, you could leave and re-enter without doing the cross (as we went forth and back through the same side of the bridge), but I'm not sure if the frontier officer would...

Where to validate CoPR within Canada?

Thanks kaytea and everyone. Just to register here, I've successfully crossed the bridge to land (and spent a great time in Niagra - cold, but no crowds, being able to go anywhere without lines beats good weather for me :) ). One thing worth mentioning: Even though I had an Arranged Employment...

How long does it take CPP-O to stamp PR visas?

(for the record, mine was not Provincial Nomination, but I guess at this point of the process should not make a difference)

How long does it take CPP-O to stamp PR visas?

Mine took 4 business days (6 total) between the day the envelope arrived and the day the return envelope was posted. Pretty fast IMHO. As a curiosity, the visa issue date was actually one day earlier than the day I received the email to send the passport (so I'd assume they pre-print them and...

Where to validate CoPR within Canada?

I'm also on the same boat: just got my CoPR and will likely go to Niagara this weekend. Question: once I get there (will go by bus), can I cross the border walking, or do I need to take a bus/cab? Has anyone here done that in Niagara? Any tips/advice? Thank you!

-34 C in Winnipeg! How are you doing, boys?

I'm not driving anymore (in 2005 I simply decided to sell my car, never looked back), but I can imagine how the weather affects even shorter commutes just from a single Ottawa-Toronto bus trip I did a few weeks before the cold wave. Still, that is Canada. Anyone that came not expecting cold was...

Social life in Canada vs USA

To get back to the original topic, I always warn people that consider immigration that yes, Canada has a social behaviour of its own, which can be taken as "cold" by some, but I personally define as "polite and respectful of boundaries". But that's just me.

What's it like to live in Canada?

One thing that *surely* helped me was visiting the country before moving. I know it can be pretty hard/infeasible, but visiting as many places as you can before taking such a decision is highly recommended (unless, of course, you are on a "can't get worse" situation). We often have no idea of...

Is "Forum Profile Information" link down?

Ah, my bad - I thought 3 was the minimum threshold (but indeed it was the # of posts I had at the time). Once again, thanks for the clarification(s)!

Is "Forum Profile Information" link down?

Although, to be fair, I have 4 already (not counting this) and still don't see the options. Maybe the threshold increase, let's wait and see... (waiting is a skill that anyone applying for immigration develops pretty quickly :P )
