    canada post---mail or courier?

Obviously you're not very smart, you didn't read what I or Goku just wrote or maybe your grasp of the English language is weak at best. Let me write it in caps, EVEN THOUGH EXPRESS POST IS RUN BY CANADA POST, IT IS ALSO A FORM OF COURIER MAIL!! Can't be that hard to understand now is it? If you...

    canada post---mail or courier?

To anyone confused, cic says in the PPR email to have a return express post envelope if you want it sent back to you with a tracker. Now, couriers are distinguished from ordinary mail by trackers, signatures, speed, security, etc. obviously xpress post is a form of courier mail, and it's the...

    canada post---mail or courier?

Don't talk nonsense if you don't even know what courier is. What was the specific instruction that cic gave that disproves what I said? When cic says send by Canada post to a po box, obviously there will be no receipt signature because it's not delivered to a person, it's delivered to a PO BOX...

    canada post---mail or courier?

Guys, send it to the "courier" address if you need confirmation it was accepted. If you send it to a PO box, it's just going to go to a box with no signature of receipt. That's the only difference. Courier goes to an actual address with people there to sign and collect, the other goes to the PO...

Does One year counts from the time you got 3yr work permit or from the time you

Right, but you do need to prove you were not a student if you gained experience before receiving your PGWP, as experience gained as a student is invalid under CEC. My advise would be to start counting your experience from the day you started working under a valid PGWP.

    PPR and landing

Hey guys, I recently got a PPR, but I'm in Houston right now. I understand I have to send my passport to CIC, and I'm planning on doing that once I get back to Toronto. Question is, since I'm coming back into Canada with a valid visa anyways, can I land without actually sending them my passport...

Work Permit(outside Canada) while PR is in process

Applying for a work permit has no connection to your PR application. If your company gets u a new work permit, it will become void once you become a PR. I suppose your company will have to apply for an LMO first then later for a work permit.

suggestion for cec MR, don't eat, drink lots water

It all depends on your sugar level. If your sugar level is high, it's best not to eat before the exam is conducted. Some would say not to even drink water before being tested

    Refugee to PR

She means to say this section of the forum is for CEC applicants hence applicants here may have less info on PR applications made by refugees. I believe there is a section for refugees.

off-campus work permit count in CEC after graduation

By the way, I remember someone on this forum who stated that work gained under his OCWP was counted for his application. It may well be at the discretion of the VO

off-campus work permit count in CEC after graduation

Well obviously you can't gain 12 months experience on OCWP because most people have just a few months left on it anyways when they graduate from uni. That statement is only letting applicants know how to get a work permit that they'll be able to use to gain the experience in full. Applicants...

off-campus work permit count in CEC after graduation

I guess it's subject to interpretation, but it does say experience will not be counted while a full time student. It doesn't say experience will not be counted under OCWP or experience will only be counted under PGWP. Hence, if you have experience gained under OCWP, you'll have to prove you'd...

    BOWP Rejected. Please help..

So sorry to hear this. Unfortunately you no longer qualify for BOWP as your work permit has already expired. You have a few options. If you can get an LMO, you can restore your status to worker. You can also restore your status to student if you wish to take a few courses while you wait for...

    April 2013 Applications

Finally got my MR this morning after a long wait, it's such a relief. I'm in Houston and the cost to do medicals in H town is 395$. I feel it's such a ripoff compared to costs in Toronto, but that's what happens when I can only go to one physician compared to hundreds in Canada. Good luck to...

reapply work permit/vistor permit after refusal

Yes, you should check yes and explain why you were refused earlier. The question seems pretty straight forward. You'll probably get another work visa if you've got everything they've requested

Weekly hours are not mentioned on the employer letter

CIC just wants proof that you worked more than 30 hours that's why they ask you to get an employment letter with your hours in it. If your employer doesn't state that in the letter, you'd have to prove it another way, hence pay stubs. It really depends on your VO, but I don't see a reason why...

Weekly hours are not mentioned on the employer letter

Thing is no one can tell you for sure. If your employer does not state your hours in your employment letter, a pay stub that includes your hours will be the next best thing. Keep in mind CIC requires you to prove you worked 30+ hours a week. If your employer doesn't give what you are looking...

    Experience count

I'd advise you to apply after accumulating 12 months on your post grad work permit before applying. You don't want to apply early then waste almost one year before getting rejected. There have been a few people on this forum that have stated they were rejected because they used experience on...
