Mine took 6 days to arrive, that was including a weekend. Don't worry, you'll be staring at your COPR in disbelief sooner than you think :)

The house deed or mortgage papers will be fine for healthcare (passport & COPR too). He only needs his passport with the stamped and signed COPR for the SIN number.

Thanks for the info DGT, the Kiwi malt sounds interesting, would that be a NZ malt? I like Speyside whiskies for their peat. I was in Peebles a few years ago and picked up a 12 y.o. Glenkinchie which had none of the peat but all of the smoke, a characteristic of distilleries in the south I...

I've found Penderyn whisky at the LCBO but don't like the ridiculous price :o. I'm sipping Cragganmore at the moment and I'm not adverse to Crown Royal, I find it's unique sweetness quite refreshing for a blend. As for gin, I'm a philistine, Beefeater or Gordons does for me (with tonic and a slice).

Damn! Mrs J has beaten me to it! ;D Because I'm inherently lazy could someone advise me on the best border bridge for flagpoling at Niagra please? We intend to park up and walk across, so advice on the right carpark (sorry, parking lot) would be a big help too. Diolch yn fawr.

I'd take the advice of just exchanging your photocard licence, it seems that it works ok in Ontario. What's the worst that can happen? If they refuse because of the counterpart, then search for it. And if you want to keep your UK licence, just apply for a new one.

Good luck with that. Legally you are required to surrender both parts.

You will need your photocard licence AND the counterpart. If you need to apply for a replacement licence (you can't just apply for the counterpart), you will need to have a UK address and be able to provide 3 years of UK address details. Unless of course the DVLA has changed the rules in the...
