Interesting. I assume that would be something to ask at the landing interview. The processing times for a travel document at the visa office I would have to apply to are 14 days. Also, I read you can apply for urgent processing (3 weeks) of your PR card if you provide the proper travel...

I assume I could always apply for a travel document for permanent residents abroad. It cost $50 though.

Hi hi Just a quick question. Has anyone been told not to leave Canada after their landing interview while waiting for your PR Card. I don't really understand why you wouldn't be allowed to leave Canada if you have a valid Visa (OWP) which allows you to leave and re-enter Canada. Thanks a lot.

My friend got her OWP 4 days after AIP. I don't think you are out of legal status after you received AIP. Because your AIP states that you will receive your OWP in the mail - which means it has been approved at the same time as AIP.

Yes please! I have been looking at your spreadsheet all the time anyway. ;) I'm so nervous because I have already been waiting for 14 months to get AIP - sigh! But if they use Aug 30 they shouldn't have any concerns about the documents not dating back a year or so. Me likes.
