From my own personal experience, 1 to 2 weeks. However, they don't respond to all inquiries (e.g address change request, how much longer the processing would take, etc)

Hi smahmud, I see that your file was transferred to SVO in Nov 2012. If your file is progressing well, you might already be very close to the end. Have you ordered any GCMS notes recently?

Hi Akhi, Since you have already submitted your passport, I'd recommend checking the ppt status with the VFS tracking service ( http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/bangladesh/trackyourapplication.html ). I've heard of cases where the ecas status stayed "In Process" even after the applicants got...

Their general site, www.vfsglobal.com is working. However, the Canada site, www.vfsglobal.ca , as well as the Bangladesh specific site www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/bangladesh, still seems to be down. Akhi, if you are looking for the VFS address in Dhaka/their phone number, let me know.....I can...

The vfsglobal website seems to be down since yesterday, so I couldn't access it either. However, if you are looking for their address/phone number, you can get it from a Google cached copy of the website (or just ask here).

If any of you have any updates on your file, could you please share it on the spreadsheet? The shared info (esp. the timeline) helps everyone. :)

Thanks Fortune89! Guys, just a suggestion: if any of you want to play with the spreadsheet, it's better to copy it to a different spreadsheet/Excel first. That way you don't risk messing up the original. But if anyone does mess it up again, well, it's a matter of restoring it again. :)

Hi Guys, about the timeline spreadsheet, fortunately Google saves previous revisions of a document so it would be possible to restore the spreadsheet before it was vandalized. Looking at the revision history, someone purposefully deleted some specific entries from the spreadsheet, starting at...

Hi Samkh, Maybe you can order GCMS notes to see what's going on? 11 weeks since remed sounds long.....maybe SVO "forgot" to send ppr because they thought they sent it with re-med request (which wouldn't surprise me)

Mailed to Wrong Address - Can Canada Post help?

Just wanted to provide an update so that it helps people reading this in the future. So I sent a case specific enquiry to the VO informing them of the wrong address the day that I saw the mistake. About a week later, they corrected the address on Ecas, but didn't contact us. Another 3/4 days...

Hi Nusaibah, For spousal sponsorships, there's no income requirement. If it did matter, it would have mattered in the sponsor approval stage. But you already have been approved as a sponsor long time ago..... Many of the applicants whose file went to SVO in Oct 2012 haven't heard anything yet...

Guys, I have an update to share: we got the re-medical request for my wife last night over email. SVO also asked her to submit the passport 6 weeks after the re-medical. The email comes 10 days after the ECAS status changed to "In Process". I guess SVO is still working, but very slowly...
