Normal Processing Times from Calgary office?

You need to call CIC and ask why there is such a huge delay in processing your file. (Assuming you have a routine application and did not receive a RQ.) I am also in Calgary, applied in Jan 2012 and received my citizenship last October. Good luck!

    Expired passport at the test....

    A long time before...mine expired in 2010.

    Expired passport at the test....

I received my citizenship in October and both my husband and I had expired passports. It was not an issue. The CIC officer looked at all our expired documents (our PR cards had expired also) and that was it.

Normal Processing Times from Calgary office?

I applied in Jan 2012, took my test in Sept 2013 & oath in Oct 2013. My file was transferred to Calgary in Apr 2013 but I believe the floods negatively impacted the processing times last summer. The Harry Hays Building (CIC offices for Calgary) were directly hit. My application was very routine...

    Citizenship test question

I'm not trying to brag, but I wrote the test on Sept 17th and I found it ridiculously easy. I scored 20/20. I have heard that some people find the test very challenging so I wonder how many versions there are. I read the book 2 or 3 times and took numerous online tests which were very helpful...

Not ready for citizenship test: try to reschedule or attend anyway?

Wow, now I understand your dilemma. Considering the circumstances, finding out about the test 11 days before is a moot point if your wife cannot read or write English or French. It's not a question of her not being prepared. I'm not sure she meets the basic language requirements for citizenship.

Not ready for citizenship test: try to reschedule or attend anyway?

I would advise your wife to just go for it. I took the test last month and only began studying seriously a week before. I read the book a few times and took lots of free online tests. I scored 100%. I wouldn't delay taking the exam, if she fails they will reschedule another test for her, I...

Calgary Citizenship Oath Oct 10 - Timeline

Congratulations! I was also at the oath today and my timeline is identical to yours. It's a great feeling and I'm glad the process is finally done. It took 21 months from start to finish which is right on target according to the timeline CIC quoted back in Jan 2012. Best of luck to all of you...

    any idea about oath cermony

I'm in Calgary and wrote my test on Sept 17th, my oath is on October 10th. At the test they indicated the wait would be 1-3 months until the oath. Things are finally moving in Calgary after delays due to the flooding in June, so I think they are pushing things through quite quickly at the moment.

    Processing time Calgary

Finally the end is near! I just received my notice to take the oath on October 10th (I wrote the test on Sept 17th.) I'm grateful that the test/oath are happening quite quickly. My timeline is 21 months from application to oath.

    CALGARY CITIZENSHIP TEST September 2013

Ha! You and I were at the same exam! My husband and I didn't have the same exam either, our questions were completely different! We arrived at 8:20am and were back in our car at 9:23, it was very quick and efficient.

    Just wrote my citizenship test!

And I got 20/20! :D The exam itself was verrrrry easy. I read the book a few times and took some online exams and that was more than enough preparation. One thing I did notice is the immigration officers (I assume they were) that check your ID and documents before you write the test were...

    Processing time Calgary

The application is just for my hubby and me...there is no update regarding the test on E-CAS as of today, I phoned CIC in May and they told me when my file was transferred. From what I understand, the floods caused delays in Calgary. I'm hoping for a same day test/oath, I'm not sure if they...

    Processing time Calgary

I'm in Calgary... I applied in Jan 2012, in process since Nov 2012, file transferred to Calgary Apr 2013. And now I wait and wait and wait for a test date... CIC is quoting 24-25 months for routine applications, I feel that it will take me that long to get to the end of this road.

Lost IMM 5292 and few more questions

I don't understand why it takes them 6 months either, but nothing CIC does is fast so I'm not surprised. Today was the first day I called an agent regarding my VOS as it's been 6 months and I haven't heard a word from them, all I have is an online receipt. I'm just happy they have a record of...

Lost IMM 5292 and few more questions

Yes, they did require a copy at the time my application was submitted, but it asked that you submit a letter of explanation if you were missing any documents. I did just that and submitted it with my application, I also explained that I was applying for a VOS. This was all before I found this...
