    Citizenship application in August 2017

Took the oath earlier today, so I'm officially at the immigration journey's end, 12 years after first coming to Canada as an undergrad student!! At the registration desk, they just looked at my invitation letter and kept my PR card. The ceremony itself was quick and simple. You can hang around...

    Citizenship application in August 2017

My online status changed this morning to "We sent you a notice on November 28, 2017 to appear and write the citizenship test on December 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM". I guess it will take a few days for the test invite to arrive by physical mail. Someone with editing access to the tracking...

    Citizenship application in August 2017

The silence has been deafening from the Ottawa processing office. As per the tracking spreadsheet, no August applicant from Ottawa has received test invitation yet. I have been stuck "In Process" since September 21 :( Oh well, life goes on o_O .......

    Citizenship application in August 2017

Hi Michael, No, I still can't see my mailing address change reflected on ECAS, though it has only been about 4 business days since I changed it. I did some searching on the forum and other members have reported similar circumstances, whereby they changed their address on ECAS, but it did not...

    Citizenship application in August 2017

I can access ECAS now and see my application status. There is a bit of an issue though. On my Citizenship application, I did not put a mailing address (I wrote down N/A on the application form), cause it's the same as my home address. My home address is showing up correctly on ECAS, but the...

    Citizenship application in August 2017

Received AoR today. Can't check status online just yet. Does anyone know if there is a lag between receiving AoR and when the status appears on ECAS? Also, if I choose Client ID Number as Identification Type, should I enter the numbers with a hyphen, or without?

Citizenship photo specification change on August 23, 2017

Did you by any chance ask them about what happens if someone has already sent the application with the old spec photos? I signed and sent my application on August 8, and it was delivered on August 10. I haven't received AOR yet, so I'm hoping they don't return my application.

    Glitch in CIT0002E-2 Application???

Good catch! Those particular checkboxes are acting like radio-buttons. I've noticed another typo as well (albeit one that is minor in nature) - in part 6 question H Income Tax Information, it says 'Note: You do not need to consent to the sharing of your income tax filing history between the CIC...

    August 2012 PR Applications

    1. There's no problem at all with folding. 2. It's perfect. Since CIC has your new passport info on file, they have absolutely no need for your old passport. In fact, sending the old passport would have possibly confused them instead. Good luck!

    August 2012 PR Applications

Thanks! 1. It should not be a problem as long as long as you were sending the passports to Ottawa from within Ontario. Scroll down to 3.1.1 in the link below to see what Canada Post classifies as a region. The attendants at the Canada Post outlets generally know what they are doing and are...

    Strike updates

Well mate, while you are certainly entitled to your opinions and the right to express them, please be mindful of the fact that there are enough stressed-out folks here on this forum who could really do without this kind of unsubstantiated fear-mongering. Cheers!

    finally it is here but.....

Congrats! Just note that MR and RPRF/Biodata comes in two separate emails. It depends entirely on the individual VO as to which email is sent first; it can be days/hours/minutes before the second email is sent. In my case I received the MR but only got the RPRF/Bio-data request with the PPR...

PR Cards not received - Processing time elapsed

Call the CIC Call Center (if you haven't done so already) since the time elapsed for you is greater than the current processing time. PR Cards are processed locally in Canada so the Call Center should have the processing status. As of right now, the current processing time for cards for new PRs...
