I received my PR Card in the mail last Friday :) Good luck to everybody who is still waiting!

I am also waiting patiently for my PR Card to arrive in the mail. We live in NS so at least it will be in my mailbox the day after they send it out :D

I would say you were a resident for tax purposes therefore file as a resident but attach a letter explaining your situation just incase it isnt clear to CRA

I dont understand why you dont just send of a work permit application with your PR application? It really isnt a big deal. Easy to fill out,cost $150 ,thats it. But more importantly it gives your partner IMPLIED STATUS - and in the end a work permit. Even if she doesnt want to work as of right...

YES our appointment is on the 12th as well :D But at 2:30 pm. I was wondering the same about the immigration documents. Im thinking they mean current visas,workpermit everything that CIC issued to you in the past up to now. But Id greatly appreciate it if somebody could shed some light on it.

@ GURI I received my DM on February 23rd. & will be landing in Halifax And I received my work permit in the mail today. They sent it of on Sunday/Monday so it took them less than a week from AB to NS.
