What CIC told me over the phone. An FYI, mail forwarding does not work with Immigration. It's lettermail and if you have forwarding in effect on the address it was sent to, the envelope will be returned to CIC. Thankfully mine is at my old address.

PR card hasn't shown up yet, called and they said it was mailed out on the 2nd of Dec. I do have mail redirection in effect so that could be the hold up. My trip is on Friday, so I hopefully it arrives tonight or tomorrow. May have to enter Canada with my expired one.

You need to call CIC and explain the situation.

Either way it's been approved and should be in the system, so when I come back into the country I shouldn't have too many problems at the border.

ECAS updated and my card was approved on the 25th of November. Nothing in the mail yet! ;D

Why do you need to contact the Vancouver office? They don't have anything to do with it. If you want to know when its been mailed call the call centre.

It'll be mailed to your address listed on ECAS.

Are you on a visa exempt passport? I'm only gone for 4 days, not enough time for the embassy to get me a travel doc. I was just going to take my notice of assessments with me and come back in on my passport.

Good news! I called last week, and am just going to leave it until next week to call again, hopefully something turns up by then. The application showed up in ECAS finally, and says "in process".

What date did they receive it? Mine was received on the 12th of November, and I believe the following week they decided to cut off urgent applications with travel dates in November/December.

Just got off the phone. My first application has been cancelled, and they are currently working on my second urgent application, as it was recieved before they decided to cancel processing urgent applications for November/December. So fingers crossed it arrives in time.

I called today, they told me during the time I sent my urgent application, they started processing my application from June. I was sent an email by the agent saying resubmit your travel docs online. So I did that this afternoon. Immediately after his email I got an email saying they had received...

I have nothing in ecas as of right now, but I'll wait until Wednesday to call as it did say 10 business days to show up as being processed. So fingers crossed.

Business days? They have had my urgent application since the 12 November and I haven't seen anything updated in the application status outside of my citizenship app. Travel is just before xmas :(
