I just got my PR card! So about 1 week after status changed to "complete".

    waiting for PR card

That's what I want to know also. So far it's not looking very good, I think what it means is that they have received your landing documents. I was hoping they change it once the card is ready, but given how long I've been waiting, I don't think that's the case.

    waiting for PR card

A visa-exempt passport holder is required to show proof of intention to leave Canada. Such proof can be a return ticket (out of Canada), hotel reservations, letters of invitation or other documents. CIC is clear on this matter, the rule is the same for every PR, visa-exempt or not. The fact that...

    waiting for PR card

Official answer: you can travel, but to return you need either a Travel Document (to be obtained from an embassy) or, if and only if, returning in your personal vehicle (no plane, bus, boat) you can come back with the CoPR. Does anybody know from the time your status changes to "completed" on...

Done my landing...Those that already have PR card...How long to wait?

You shouldn't have your work permit, you are supposed to surrender it at the time of landing. That's a requirement of the landing process. When CIC issues the PR visa they cross (invalidate) your previous TRVs (at least that's what they did to mine). Also, during the landing they cross your PR...

Done my landing...Those that already have PR card...How long to wait?

Hi, I landed in March. As long as you are landing in the same province you should be fine. The landing process itself was easy: just bring the COPR, your passports, any older documents from CIC you may have, that's all they asked really. Sometimes they ask for proof of funds so a bank statement...

    Applying for PR from QC

Why would you do this to yourself? If you want to live outside of QC and your work permit is not limited to QC, why wouldn't you move right now? Even if it doesn't say anywhere that you can't apply for CEC from QC, you can't gain anything by doing this (unless your work permit is limited to QC)...

Help Please..... Employer copied all the duties from NOC website

I don't know why everybody is telling you that this is a problem and you should worry. In fact, I would suggest the opposite: you should be happy that your employer included duties that closely resemble the NOC with your letter. The rejections due to letters I have seen so far are either because...

    April 2012 PR applications

Got my PPR yesterday. I applied in the very end of March so my timeline was closer to the April applicants. I have traveled a lot, and by a lot I mean a lot, in the last 5 years.

    March 2012 Applications

Mine was not moved. How about moving within Canada? I applied for background check from the police and it never came, I had to fill all cities I have lived in on the form and it said the more cities you have lived in the longer it will take. Have you guys changed residence a lot within Canada...

A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT :( WHAT TO DO NOW??? ;((

PNP buddy, that's your only chance with unskilled work. Check what the requirements are for PNP in your province and if you don't qualify then relocate to a province where you would qualify for PNP based on your job. That's your only option. Or go back to school.

    March 2012 Applications

Have you? I have, and by a lot I mean "a lot". Could this be what's delaying our applications? Are they like conducting some kind of security checks in every single country we have visited? That would explain why some people got their PPR so fast and others are waiting forever...

Question about travelling outside Canada on Student Visa

If you really need to go home I would say you have two choices: 1) Don't come back until you get your PR. Let CIC know you have changed your address. 2) Register for a full-time school program which starts around the time you are planning to come back. Make sure you have the document from the...

University tuition same as domestic students (in which step?)

Landing. I am not 100% sure but I think you need the actual PR card to bring to your university's registrar's office.

Question about travelling outside Canada on Student Visa

You will be asked for sure, where do you go to school, etc. And you don't go to school so you have no reason to travel to Canada. Even if your work permit is processed, you don't have your work permit with you so that won't help you (unless somebody sends you the work permit to your home...

    Medical reports

Hey where did you read this? Does it mean that PR has to be granted or application rejected within 1 year of medical request?

    Advice on landing!

You know you could have saved yourself all this hassle if, instead of sending your passport, you had applied for a US Visa to go to the Canadian Embassy and get your PR Visa in person? Then you can land on the way back. Congrats anyway!

Rejections due to no duties on ref. letter - VO tracking & MP pressure group

I can relate to this problem. I had a really hard time getting such letter from my employer. The employer has procedures in place for giving out letters to employees and the manager is expected to just sign the letter without changing its content. It is very hard (impossible in most cases) to...

Can i apply through CEC and PNP

If you look at the other threads in this forum I think you will answer your question. Go ahead and apply for BOTH if you can. With PNP first you need to get the province certificate, once you get it it's up to you to decide if you want to continue with the process (by sending it to CIC) or not...

Clarification for ENF2 OP 18 point 9.7 misrepresentation and inadmissibility

Put the complete and correct information in your CEC application. Also attach a letter explaining that you made a mistake on a previous application and it is now corrected. This may delay your case...best of luck!
